Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, During Widespread Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a significant and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any impact is not yet known and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the attack on Iran carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on locations linked to the the regime, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the regime.
Wider Impacts
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a series of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted missile fragments fell on a residential area in the capital, causing some property damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
