Liverpool's Star Issues Regret to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has shared that Mohamed Salah apologised to the entire Liverpool squad following the fallout from his televised remarks.

The Fallout

He was omitted from a vital match after making accusations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”

The manager has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the player.

Looking Ahead

He emphasized that the team's response remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” he continued.

The midfielder also suggested that a player's desire to start is preferable. “It's clear there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”

Positive Results

Their results have remained strong in the matches since the initial controversy. The player is convinced the forward's comments were never meant to cause disruption.

“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a good place,” he finished. “That chapter is closed and we’re uniting strongly, performing and starting to win games.”
